Payment & Financial Partner Terms

How payments, payment status, partners, refunds, and Protected Deals work on GLWS.

Last updated · Version 2026-08-31.2

These Payment & Financial Partner Terms explain payment-related responsibilities when you use GLWS, a service operated by FinDech UAB. They supplement the Terms of Service and Deal Rules.

FinDech UAB / GLWS does not itself hold deal funds or provide escrow.

1. Current payment model

GLWS is deal infrastructure. It may display payment links, QR codes, amounts, currencies, and payment status.

FinDech UAB / GLWS does not itself hold seller deal funds merely because integrated payment is available. Payment processing is provided by the configured payment provider. Ordinary Stripe Connect payment is not escrow and is not a Protected Deal.

Where Stripe Connect is connected for a seller, the buyer pays the seller’s connected account. GLWS may collect a disclosed application/service fee. Provider processing fees are billed under the provider’s rules.

External and offline payment remains available at a 0% GLWS transaction fee. User-supplied payment proof is not provider verification.

If a Protected Deal partner is configured, that partner’s pricing is shown before payment. Do not treat Protected Deal as GLWS escrow.

2. Payment partners

2.1 Different partners may be used by jurisdiction, currency, or payment method.

2.2 A partner may require eligibility checks, including KYC, KYB, AML, sanctions screening, and source-of-funds requests. Those checks are performed by or for the partner under the partner’s rules. Completing a GLWS deal record does not waive a partner’s onboarding requirements.

2.3 Partner terms and partner privacy policies govern the partner’s service. GLWS provides the technology and transaction context connecting you and the partner.

2.4 A partner may be an independent controller for payment and regulatory processing. See the Privacy Policy.

3. Authorisation, status, and settlement

3.1 Payment authorisation (if offered by a partner) is an instruction to that partner, not a transfer of funds to FinDech.

3.2 A GLWS status of Paid means GLWS received or recorded the relevant payment status from the configured source. It does not mean funds are irrevocable, immune from chargeback, immune from reversal, finally settled, or guaranteed.

3.3 Pending means a payment attempt or expected payment has been recorded as not yet complete.

3.4 Failed or unpaid states mean GLWS has not recorded successful payment from the configured source.

3.5 Settlement, payout, currency conversion, and availability of funds are determined by the partner, banks, schemes, and applicable law — not by a GLWS status label.

3.6 GLWS does not provide deposit insurance and does not state or imply deposit-guarantee coverage unless a particular real product is legally covered and that protection is specifically disclosed.

4. Fees

4.1 GLWS may charge organization subscription fees and a disclosed integrated-payment service/application fee. See the Terms of Service and the public Pricing page. External/offline payments have a 0% GLWS transaction fee.

4.2 Partner fees, scheme fees, FX spreads, and bank fees are separate and may be deducted by the partner or your financial institution. GLWS does not present estimated provider processing fees as guaranteed amounts.

5. Refunds, reversals, chargebacks, and recalls

5.1 Cancelling or changing a GLWS deal record does not automatically cancel, reverse, refund, recall, or charge back a payment that has already been initiated or completed.

5.2 Underlying Buyer/Seller refunds are normally obligations between those parties, unless a payment or protection partner provides a specific mechanism.

5.3 Card chargebacks, bank disputes, recalls, and similar processes are governed by the payment provider, card network, issuer, acquirer, bank, scheme rules, and applicable law.

5.4 GLWS may provide transaction records and evidence. GLWS does not guarantee the result of a chargeback or dispute.

5.5 Duplicate payment risk remains if you pay outside GLWS or pay more than once. Use limits on a GLWS link do not prevent independent external payments.

6. External and offline payments; payment proof

6.1 Where online checkout is not connected, payment is external to GLWS. Parties may pay by bank transfer, cash, or another method they choose.

6.2 Uploaded payment proof is user-supplied evidence. It is not GLWS verification that money moved, cleared, or will remain available.

6.3 Do not treat a screenshot, receipt image, or message as a GLWS confirmation of payment.

7. Protected Deals

7.1 A Protected Deal is a GLWS close workflow that may connect to a partner-powered protected-payment mechanism where a partner is actually configured, the Seller has a verified account, and the feature is available.

7.2 A Protected Deal is not GLWS escrow. Do not describe GLWS as holding, safeguarding, or releasing funds.

7.3 If a partner offers a protected-payment mechanism that is not legally escrow, it will be described as protected payment, not escrow.

7.4 If an appropriately authorised provider is contractually providing an escrow service for a specific transaction, that escrow is the partner’s service. The partner’s terms govern protections, release conditions, refund conditions, chargebacks, disputes, and safeguarding.

7.5 Choosing Protected Deal does not guarantee that the counterparty will perform or that funds will be paid, protected, or released in a particular way.

8. Holds, restrictions, outages, and errors

8.1 A partner may delay, hold, restrict, reverse, or refuse a payment for fraud review, compliance, sanctions, insufficient funds, or operational reasons.

8.2 Payment-service outages may prevent online payment even if the GLWS Deal Room remains available.

8.3 You should verify amount, currency, and beneficiary details before paying. GLWS is not responsible for payments sent to the wrong account outside a connected partner flow.

8.4 Taxes on the underlying Deal are the parties’ responsibility.
